Now just hold it a minute partner. Your have the nerve to use the term “fiscal fairy dust” in the context of the costing of Liberal promises? This term was originally coined to describe a succession of Flaherty budgets and it is still more relevant to the “smoke and mirrors” of Conservative estimates than my Liberal’s version of “fiscal quackery”. Look at the gap between government cost estimates for things like “tough on crime”, the F35’s, maintaining annual 6% increases to the provinces for health care, eliminating the deficit, moving to a surplus in a mere two years and the more realistic numbers posted by the Parliamentary Budget Office!! Let’s admit it; they’re both full of shit!
However, as you and I will never agree on that point, let’s bring some real science into this debate. In an article just published, (admittedly in the Toronto Star) the riddle of why so many of my friends have strong Conservative views was explained. It’s our brains – they’re different! Apparently greater Liberalism is associated with increased grey matter volume in the anterior cingulate cortex. (I would have shortened this description to read just: “more grey matter” but I’m trying to be true to the science) On the other hand a leaning towards conservatism is associated with increased volume of the right amygdale. In a separate but complimentary study it was determined that increased volume in the right amygdale is itself associated with at least two physical traits. One of those is a sloping forehead and the other is a tendency to drag ones knuckles on the ground. Not a pretty picture as I have illustrated below.
I Rest My Case
