The PC's "Better Way" to cheap power?

I was recently sent a copy of Tim Hudac’s latest rant on energy prices in Ontario. He blames the increased cost on smart meters, the Samsung subsidy and the Green Energy Act. He notes that Spain and Italy have backed away from their own green energy initiatives. Given the fiscal problems in both of these countries I would question using them as examples of fiscal probity? The fact of the matter is that green energy costs more to produce and all countries involved in the development of alternative energy sources subsidize its development. I would also point out to Tim that all governments in Ontario have shared in the back-sliding that has put our energy infrastructure in such poor shape. And finally I would remind him that we have never paid the true cost of the power we consume in this province and it’s about time we faced up to that fact. So what’s Tim’s “better idea”:

More nuclear!
