News about the Tobermory Trompers will be the main focus of this blog but not it's only one. I will include highlights from our Dofasco Golf Group as well as political updates that reflect my take on the run-up to the 2015 federal election. Your comments are most welcome as well as pictures and travel updates. Please address all comments to "Andy".

Spring Musings
I’ve been out of circulation for a week now and I’m just now getting back to the Blog. Noted Dorsal’s comments re: the US Steel decision to temporarily shutter it’s operations in Canada – I would add that Hamilton’s Hilton Works is not likely to ever re-open with the exception of the Z-Line. I’ve lost track of the ownership of this still viable coating line – is it still a partnership with Mitsubishi? I thought it was significant that US Steel is keeping the coke oven batteries going at Nanticoke. Nice; we lose the jobs but keep the pollution. I caught a good part of Harper’s presentation yesterday and I see that the games are still on. His suggestion that the opposition is holding up financial relief for Canadians is ludicrous but makes for good print. As usual, the Conservatives never let the truth get in the way of a good story. I understand that their PR guys all write part time for the tabloids on Elvis sightings and alien abductions – keeps them in shape for their political machinations. On a completely different note, I’m watching the negotiations with the Big Three with great interest. Given the now exorbitant (more like extortionist) numbers that are now on the table I have revised my position of support for the bail-out. Now I believe that they are not viable at any number! Oh, and welcome home Bassman - 13 Bass Pro Shops!! Wow!! (and many great pictures too)
