It’s going to be a few months before the Tories have to give Iggy their first report card so I’m proposing a temporary truce amongst contributing bloggers. Not to say that you can’t comment on any notable development on the political front but there are other things happening on the planet and life forms other than Neo-Cons that face extinction. But just to lighten things up how about a prediction on the Oscars? Jillie and I have been beating the winter blahs by going to the Friday afternoon matinee and we’ve seen a couple of the candidates. This Friday I’m sure we saw the winner. That would be the surprising and most entertaining, Slumdog Millionaire. This film is going to dominate the awards this year, win the Oscar for best picture and probably win in a host of other categories as well. More discussion on other planetary considerations later but until then, get out and see this great movie – it needs the big screen to do it justice. And, a word of advice, sit well back in the theatre. AH
